Galeon’s Community Memorial Home (CMH) was founded in 1963 as a result of the Osakis Community’s desire to provide care and support to those in need of health care services from the surrounding area. CMH is a community owned not-for-profit 501C(3) and governed by nine volunteer members from our Board of Directors. Today, doing business as Galeon, our continuing care campus is composed of many options that cater to a wide variety of desires and needs.
Community Memorial continues to provide award winning care to those in need of around-the-clock skilled nursing service. Offerings at our care center include short-term rehabilitation with provisions for PT, OT & Speech therapy, intravenous therapy, and Club Galeon community outreach.
The Osakis Community Manor offers twenty-four (24) apartments that are dedicated to rent subsidized independent retirement housing. Terrace Heights functions nicely as another independent living choice, while West View Assisted Living Apartments offer more intense services as an alternative to skilled nursing care.
BridgeWell Assisted Living has quickly become the premiere assisted living program for memory care in the country.
Galeon’s state-of-the-art wellness center for older adults has quickly become known as ‘Club Galeon’. Complete with a 30’ x 50’ warm water swimming pool and spa, Club Galeon is currently helping over 300 people regain control of their strength, wellness and quality of life. Life’s later years are to be cherished and enjoyed and Galeon’s campus provides the access, atmosphere, care, affordability and support to help make that happen.
Galeon’s beautiful facility has found a home in the hearts of Minnesota’s older adults and their families. Set on a scenic campus close to the shores of Lake Osakis, Galeon offers Skilled Nursing, Short and Long-Term Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care and a brand new Wellness Center. Friendly neighbors and supportive staff create a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging each person to feel comfortable and secure at Galeon. Our levels of care allow residents seamless transitions within the community, should their needs change.
